Background
My background is computer science, not life science. I've spent nine years building and maintaining websites and web applications on the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), along with modern front-end tools.
For a life-science company, that background is useful in specific ways:
- Technical rigor. Sites are engineered and documented, not assembled from a theme and a stack of plugins.
- Speed. Pages are built against Google's Core Web Vitals targets, so they load quickly on phones as well as office connections.
- Security. HTTPS, minimal third-party code, validated forms, and updates applied as part of support.
- Clean code. Semantic markup that the next developer, or your own team, can read and maintain.
I'm not a scientist. I'll learn your vocabulary, ask the right questions, and have your product copy reviewed by you before anything goes live.
How I work
I'm your single point of contact. I scope the work, design and build the site, manage the project, check every deliverable, and stay on for support after launch.
